Liberal Bias

What Hollywood really thinks about conservatives

Television has manipulated us. And those who create television have done it purposefully, and elegantly. They have weeded out conservatives in the industry wholesale. They have worked hand-in-glove with liberals in government to forward the leftist agenda. They have turned pure entertainment into a vehicle for propaganda…read more

Dana Millbank of the Washington Post write:

Obama’s strengths and weaknesses come from his high degree of “integrative complexity” — his ability to keep multiple variables and trade-offs in mind simultaneously. The integratively simple thinker — say, George W. Bush — has one universal organizing principle that dominates all others, while the integratively complex thinker — Obama — balances many competing goals.

In other words, people who agree with Dana are complex. People who don’t are dolts.

So just for fun, let’s assume Dana Millbank is correct. Barack Obama is intelligent, complex and an abysmal failure.  The Presidency is too big for even someone as smart as Obama and all his Ivy League advisers. Isn’t this proof that a big government is unworkable?

Bob Schieffer asks Paul Ryan:

Why Do These Rich People Need Another Tax Cut? They’re Already Rich…Read more

The left uses the term “investment” for government spending. Conservatives believe that 1) People who are rich have already proven they know how to invest wisely (otherwise they wouldn’t be rich) and 2) the government has proven they invest poorly (otherwise they wouldn’t be broke).

If Bob Schieffer had ever listened to a conservative, he wouldn’t ask such a dumb, juvenile question.

PLUS

Bob Schieffer has absolutely no consideration for freedom and property rights. You can say his question is taken straight from a communist slogan: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.

President Obama had a Marie Antoinette moment.  He told a man who was complaining about high gas prices that he should go buy a new car.

This is far worse than Michelle Bachman thinking Lexington and Concord were in New Hampshire, a story widely dispersed by the main stream media. But the media did far worse than a non-reporting job. AP scrubbed their story.

Now for the video:

President Obama tells the man that we can’t do anything in a week or even months. He’s right. That’s why we have been saying “drill baby drill” for years, but he keeps at his tired old lines…We can’t drill our way out of it…We need green jobs…blah, blah, blah. Failure. President Obama has been slapped in the face by failure and he still hasn’t woken from his dream state.

And…he is totally disingenuous in his argument. He says we 2 maybe 3 percent of the world’s proven oil reserves. “World’s Proven Oil Reserves” means the oil that we can get to. What is not included in those reserves is the oil that is disallowed politically. Oil we could get to if we had the political will. President Obama says we can’t drill out way out of the problem. He has pinned the nations hopes on green pixie dust and moon beams.

But I have a solution. We can vote our way out of the problem. Vote Republican and drill baby drill.

Ron Schiller (who just was forced out of NPR) thinks that gun-toting middle-America is scary. Gun toting is a right enshrined in the Constitution. What is not in the Constitution is the right to health insurance…or a living wage…or a whole load (you know what kind of load) of liberals ideas that liberals claim are rights. Gun toting is a right. Using my money to broadcast such drivel is not a right.

Defund NPR!

Ron Schiller of NPR was caught on a hidden camera stating his opinion:

Schiller also said Tea Party supporters were not “just Islamaphobic, but really xenophobic, I mean basically they are, they believe in sort of white, middle-America gun-toting. I mean, it’s scary. They’re seriously racist, racist people.”

I don’t care if people think this. Everyone has the right to be an idiot, but everyone does not have the right to use my money (tax dollars) to broadcast his ignorant views to the world.
Mr. Schiller is an ignorant blowhard who probably doesn’t know a single tea partier, but he is not the problem. The problem is the use of our tax dollars for broadcasting. It doesn’t matter who heads NPR. Whatever the programming and no matter what the opinion is, NPR will be using someone’s money to broadcast a topic that they find objectionable.
And it’s not like we need government funds to increase the range of content on TV. Long gone are the days of three TV stations and a handful of national radio talk shows.
Defund NPR! They are a relic of the past. (It’s ironic how “Progressives” are stuck in the past.)

Ann Althouse reminds us that Sarah Palin was captured in a Gotcha moment with a question about the “Bush Doctrine”. Well, can someone explain the “Obama Doctrine”? Can Obama?

In an unbelievable exchange, Lawrence O’Donnell questioned a Republican congressmen about tax evasion because he was saving money. The congressman sleeps in his office. To an admitted socialist like O’Donnell, not spending money is akin to income and most be declared on a federal tax return.

Wow! There are so many ways to attack this stupidity.

1) If Mr. O’Donnell buys something on sales, he is saving money. Does he declare this on his income taxes?

2) Are all homeless people guilty of tax evasion, or only if they sleep on a public street?

3) What other items are on his list of things we MUST buy?

This stated logic explains so many things about liberals. It explains why they think that not collecting taxes from individuals is a cost to the government. It also explains their devotion to ObamaCare. The enlightened believe they should have the power over all of us to determine what we must buy.

In all honesty, it doesn’t surprise me that a socialist like O’Donnell believes such nonsense. Socialist don’t believe in property rights like mainstream America. What surprises me is that a major corporation would give a platform to such an un-American point of view.

What if there was an assassination attempt against a high powered official and nobody hear about it? That couldn’t happen in today’s 24 hour news cycle with total Internet coverage. WRONG.

Last September, a left wing kook charged the governor of Missouri with a knife and wearing a bullet proof vest. His intentions were clear. REDSTATE.COM report:

In light of the media’s race to talk about the right’s climate of hateful rhetoric, you have probably guessed by now that Casey Brezik was an anti-Christian, anti-capitalist leftist who participated in a number of left wing protests. He was also a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic…read more

Where were the calls for civility and toning down the left-wing rhetoric? Where were the calls to ban Che t-shirts, knives, bullet proof vest and schizophrenia?

Michelle Malkin has a run down on all the times in the last couple of years that Democrats have tried to seize tragedies for the political advantage. They jump to conclusions, blaming Republicans, FoxNews, talk radio and the tea party and each time they look like fools (to anyone paying attention).

Byron York points out the duplicitous nature of CNN. They cautioned all not to jump to conclusions about a a Muslim who shouts Allahu Akbar before going on a killing rampage, but they themselves jumped to conclusions about Jared Lee Loughner motives and who may have inspired him…mainly that evil Sarah Palin.

They only good news in all of this is that no one watches CNN.

According to Nicholas Kristof of the NY Times, inequality leads to depression, crime and death.

What a bunch of crap. Financially speaking, the Amish have far little than the blue collar workers of New York City, but their crime rate is a fraction of the rest of society. What my drive people to depression, crime and death is the lack of hope. Hope is sapped away from those who listen to the liberal line that society is against certain people and they can’t win.

Does watching Kobe Bryant make aspiring basketball players depressed because they lack the skills he does? No! Kobe Bryant inspires some to work hard and most just to marvel in his talents.

Does watching Tiger Woods (pre-scandal) drive men into drunken stupors because they can’t hit a drive 300 yards. No! They marvel at his skill how much money he can make playing a silly game.

But when it comes to business and smarts, liberals have taught far too many to envy instead of to marvel. Too many have been taught to give up instead of to strive for more.

The Nicholas Kristofs of the world are more damaging than inequality. Inequality would be used to inspire instead of depress if it were not a political tool from those who want to confiscate and redistribute the gains of others.

Vote for the Most Outrageous Liberal Media Quotes of 2010. You should make up your own mind, but my favorite is:

“How does the neo-conservative right, the hawkish right, find such success in finding these empty vessels like her? Like W.? Like, like Quayle? They find these empty vessels who know nothing about the world! Nothing about foreign policy! Who immediately begin to spout the neo-con line. I read her book — it’s full of that crap. Where, where do they find these people? They went on a cruise up there? What [Bill] Kristol and Fred Barnes went on some cruise to Alaska and they found her standing at the docks with an empty head saying, ‘I’m willing to say what you want me to say.’”

Chris Matthews

How’s that thrill up your leg, Chris? You spout the liberal crap on a daily basis and broadcast it to millions of TV…all of whom have chosen to watch anything but you.

The New York Times reports on the beautiful, trendy people.

“If you can’t afford to hire a bartender,” he added, “you shouldn’t be having a party.”

Arrogant? Oh, yea.

I was up in New York City recently. It’s like going to the zoo. The animals are interesting because you rarely get a chance to see such strange creatures in there natural habitat. This is the world that the Main Stream Media lives in and adores.
