We split congressional districts up by ethnicity and identity and then we wonder why the partisan representative can’t find common ground. Wouldn’t the House be a more civil place if each Congressman represented a similarly diverse district. Why is diversity good in schools, but not good in Congressional districts?
Can a white man represent a black man? Can a black man represent a white man? If they can’t…how must Asians, Indians and other minorities feel?

The Civil Rights movement has changed. It started out as a struggle for humanity and equal opportunity and has changed into a socialist movement of wealth redistribution. This is the first line from The Hill:
Black lawmakers on Monday said GOP-proposed budget cuts would move the country in the opposite direction of the civil rights movement…read more

Have you ever wondered why government investment doesn’t work?
It makes me anxious when I invest money. I realize that a bad decision will have consequences. I also realize that decision that were wise at one time can go bad when the world around us changes. Like me, investors constantly review their positions in order to maximize profitability of their capital and to avoid losses.
Government has no worries. Politicians hand out money and then move on to the next ribbon cutting ceremony. Who cares about wasting millions or billions when you have a 3 trillion dollar budget. They “invest” and never look back. If they did, they wouldn’t double down on their bad investments…but doubling down is exactly what they do.
To turn wood chips into ethanol fuel, George W. Bush’s Department of Energy in February 2007 announced a $76 million grant to Range Fuels for a cutting-edge refinery. A few months later, the refinery opened in the piney woods of Treutlen County, Ga., as the taxpayers of Georgia piled on another $6 million. In 2008, the ethanol plant was the first beneficiary of the Biorefinery Assistance Program, pocketing a loan for $80 million guaranteed by the U.S. taxpayers.Last month, the refinery closed down, having failed to squeeze even a drop of ethanol out of its pine chips.
Paul Ryan gave an excellent response to the President’s State of the Union speech. My favorite line was:
This is a future in which we will transform our social safety net into a hammock which lulls able bodied people into lives of complacency and dependency.
Watch the whole response:

Did our heated political discourse lead to the shooting of a Congress woman. I think not, but those of you who do should call for this guys head…figuratively of course.
Dem Congressman suggests shooting then candidate Rick Scott
That Scott down there that’s running for governor of Florida,” Mr. Kanjorski said. “Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him.
The last 2 years have been trouble for Pennsylvania Democrats. They can only get elected in the big cities. Gerrymander has made those positions secure…and whenever you have a secure political environment…corruption is sure to follow.
Robert Brady is secure in Philadelphia (a quagmire of corruption) and he is showing why Democrats are becoming ever more rare in Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania Rep. Robert Brady, a Democrat from Philadelphia, told CNN that he also plans to take legislative action. He will introduce a bill that would make it a crime for anyone to use language or symbols that could be seen as threatening or violent against a federal official, including a member of Congress.
He is reacting to the ridiculous rage against Sarah Palin who had used targets on a map to show which Congress seats she would like to (God save me from the federal government) target in the upcoming election. No…Robert Brady is trying to feed his unhinged liberal base that is blaming the shooting on Sarah Palin. That may play in his home town, but the rest of the state won’t buy it.
WARNING: Any liberal who stumbled across this block: There will be more references to violent symbolism, so you will probably want to go to change your underwear, take a Valium and make an appointment with your therapist.
I am sure Robert Brady is not referring to Barack Obama who claimed that he wanted to take a gun to a knife fight. I am sure Robert Brady was not referring to the DailyKos that also used the target symbol. I am sure that Robert Brady was not referring to SEIU whose president said that if the power of persuasion didn’t work…he would use the persuasion of power. That’s real comforting coming from a union thug.
Just watch the persuassion from SEIU thugs
Here is how it works in the liberal mind. If you support the rights of gun owerns, you are partly responsible for all crimes committed with guns. However, you get no credit for all the lives saved with guns.
Nancy Pelosi claims the Democrats lost because of high unemployment which was caused by George Bush and Republican policies.
Let’s take it where that came from. The policies of George W. Bush and the Republican support for his initiatives, tax cuts are for the wealth, recklessness by some (link)
So let me see if I get this straight. George Bush entered the White House at the start of a recession…and the recession was all his fault. Another recession hits mid way through Nancy Pelosi’s reign as Speaker of the House and it was due to Republican policies put into place 7 years earlier. Let’s put a picture to her claim:
There go those San Francisco values again: When you fail, always blame someone else.
Don’t let the door hit you…wait…yes, let the door hit you in the ass on they way out.
Senator Specter defied his party and the voters who put him in office when he switched from the Republican party to the Democrats. His switch along with the stolen election in Minnesota that put a unfunny comedian gave the Democrats a filibuster proof Senate which enabled ObamaCare
Here is Byron York’s analysis of where ObamaCare is:
The country is still learning the full extent of the damage. A new analysis by the Washington Post shows that a provision of Obamacare dealing with high-risk patients is attracting far fewer participants than expected but still costs vastly more than projected — a bad omen for the law’s other programs. And that is on top of earlier reports showing that Obamacare will actually bend the cost curve upward, not downward; that many companies are curtailing or planning to curtail coverage offered to employees and retirees; and that its core provision — the individual mandate — might well be unconstitutional. It’s a mess…read more
Thanks. It couldn’t have happened without you.
I couldn’t stand this man, but I voted for him because I thought the alternative was worse. That analysis probably still holds water, but I will NEVER vote for self-serving RINO like Specter again.

Nancy Pelosi says they would have passed ObamaCare even if everyone in America was happy with their health care coverage. This is a perfect example of how the Democrats disdain the American way where the government is empowered by the people. In Nancy Pelosi vision, the government is the overseer of the American people.

The Constitution is the law of the land. It set us down a path of limited government. Those limits have been progressively eroded by “Progressives”. Even though our founders provided a way to change the Constitution, Progressives throughout the years have cynically taken an oath to defend the Constitution while they ignore it.
The new Republican leadership will read the Constitution aloud and requiring that bills be Constitutional. This has prompted the editors of the New York Times to demonstrate their contempt.
There is a similar air of vacuous fundamentalism in requiring that every bill cite the Constitutional power given to Congress to enact it…read more
Instead of saying we should all learn the Constitution and argue what its means, Progressives want to mock anyone who reveres it.
My liberals friends find the tea party and Sarah Palin “scary”. I can’t for the life of me figure out why, especially when you hear the departing speaker say this:
Deficit reduction has been a high priority for us. It is our mantra, pay-as-you-go…Nancy Pelosi
This woman is either delusional or a bad liar. I have no idea how such a woman could rise to such power. It really makes you wonder about the Democrats in the House.

In 2006, the voters rejected the Republican Congress by voting them out. In the two months between the election and the end of their terms the Republicans passed no legislature.
Fast forward today. The Democrats have a historically low approval rating and have been voted out of office. To them, this means put their activity into over drive. They want to get as many laws passed as possible before they head home.
Has there ever been a display of such contempt for the voters of this country? It all boils down to arrogance. The Democrats in Congress believe they are smarter than American people and we need to be lead like sheep to their liberal nirvana.

Barney Frank thinks he is so smart. He is a bitter, bitter man. In this video he says that taxes on your estate are not a punishment. He says people who heirs did not work hard, they are just lucky. While that may be true…neither did you…you thief.
When I die, what I have saved (after taxes) is mine to go to whom I chose. It’s a little thing us capitalist like to call “property rights”.
Then Frank argues that this death tax won’t hurt jobs. He couldn’t be more wrong.
I work for a guy who owns a small manufacturing facility. The building and equipment is worth about 3 million dollars. I have no idea how much personal assets he has, but I’m sure it isn’t zero. When he dies, he want to give the company his only heir…his daughter.
If the government comes and demands 1.5 millions dollars because she didn’t work hard to earn the company, they will essentially be killing every job (including mine). The daughter without hesitation will sell the assets of the company in order to pay the taxes.
Barney Franks is a bitter and foolish man. May he and his party never return to the majority again.

Republicans are on the right track…Democrats continue the tax and spend ways.
A new analysis by a group of federal-spending watchdogs shows a striking imbalance between the parties when it comes to earmark requests. Democrats remain raging spenders, while Republicans have made enormous strides in cleaning up their act. In the Senate, the GOP made only one-third as many earmark requests as Democrats for 2011, and in the House, Republicans have nearly given up earmarking altogether — while Democrats roll on.
