Obama Flashback:

Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket…Barack Obama

I’m not blaming Obama for high electric rates because his plan of a cap and trade system has not been implemented…but he has pushed clean air regulation designed to kill coal fired power plants. Coal supplies nearly 50% of electric power generation.

He implored us to understand the consequences of our energy polity. He believes we can control the global thermostat if we just drive up the cost of electricity and plunge our cities into darkness.  I believe cheap energy is the critical to a thriving economy.

So I agree with the President. You should understand the consequences. You can attempt to drop the temperature of the Earth by tenths of a degree or we can have a thriving economy.  That’s pretty clear.
