Back in Jan of 2010, I wrote:

I bet a large percentage of people who believe in liberal policies positions consider themselves “moderate”. They have little knowledge of history and how far their philosophies are out of step with the founding fathers. They have little use for facts and logic. They base their decision on how they feel…and they feel like they have “moderate” positions. (link)

Now there is a Pew Research Center study that backs me up

Today, while voters as a whole agree with Republicans’ evaluation of their party as conservative, they disagree with Democrats, who on average see their party as moderate rather than liberal. (link)
