The President goes on a spending bender and makes an unsustainable debut problem even worse…then the Democrats take to the airwaves to blame the voters.

It reminds me of the scene in Stripes where they all get captured and their so called leader (played by John Larroquette) turns to the troops and blames them.

When everyone is doing it, it’s time not to do it.

Gold has risen to over $1700 per ounce. You have to wonder if this is an emotional response.

I have been worried about inflation since the quantitative easing from from the Fed. I believe it hasn’t happened (yet) because the velocity of money has not returned. The economy has been depressed by the actions of the federal government. When the economy does start to recover, all those extra dollars out there will have to be taken out of the system. I have no faith that our government will have the ability to foresee the boom or willingness to do accomplish this goal. I have a sick feeling that this is exactly what those pulling the strings want.

The explosion in the money supply will lead to high inflation. High inflation will make it easy to pay off the debt. Of course, this comes at the expense of the investors. Inflation is a hidden tax.

So back to the dollar. Everyone is catching on. It took some time, but everyone is now concerned about the debt so they are heading for other investments. This I think is pushing the price of gold to ridiculous levels

We shall see.

 

On Friday, the President proposed a tax credit for companies that hire returning vets. Does this mean the president understands that lower taxes leads to job growth or is he just picking winners and losers again?

His history shows that he knows lower taxes lead to job growth, but he is willing to forgo this reality for his warped sense of social justice. This is no different. He thinks that it is more fair to give returning veterans a leg up…and maybe you do too…but jobs are scarce for everyone. If lower taxes for hiring veterans is a viable plan, why not expand the concept to everyone?

MSNBC hosts a conversation how conservatives are crazy and possibly dangerous

According to MSNBC, smaller government is unattainable and the quest for it by Tea Partiers borders on psychosis. They are child like addicts that could strike out like the Norwegian mass murderer at any time.

So what is unattainable? Smaller government? Balanced budgets?

Let me tell you what is unattainable. The socialist ideal that progressives envision. We don’t have the money to pay for all their programs.

And who is violent? Whether it is pies thrown at conservatives on college campuses, Acorn flash mobs showing up at a private homes or union thugs trying to gain political position by threats and violence; nearly all political violence in this country is a product of the left.

Acting like children. It is the left that wants to outlaw speech defined (by them) as offensive. It is the left that resorts to name calling (Tea Partiers are racist and terrorist). It is the left that controlled both branches of Congress and couldn’t perform the adult act of passing a budget.

MSNBC is truly delusional.

 

Have you noticed the change from “pro choice” to “reproductive rights”. Progressives have changed terms again. It is hard to keep up with their verbal gymnastics.

Of course, they are not talking about the right to reproduce. They want the right to not reproduce, so it seems strange. Do progressives like this new term because it implies a new “right”. They weren’t so hot on reproductive rights when they were performing forced sterilizations to eliminate government identified imbeciles.

Maybe the change is not toward the new term but away from the old term. Pro-choice won’t work when the government is making your medical choices for you.

The liberals can play their little word games, but we know when the government gets full power you will have no choice and no rights.
