The left is angry and they are on full display in demonstrations around the country. It’s quite amazing considering the talk of civility after Congresswoman Gifford’s shooting less than two months ago. John Hinderaker of PowerLineBlog has some thoughts:
I think there is a close correlation between anger and liberalism. Many liberals–not all, but a great many–are liberal precisely because they seethe with resentment against the world. It doesn’t take much for that anger to break through, as we are seeing very often these days…read more

Got a coupon for 30% a Blu-Ray player? If the Connecticut governor gets his way, you’d still be paying sales tax on that player’s full price.
And this is not an isolated issues with the new left. I posted about Lawrence O’Donnell accusing a congressman of tax evasion for not having a second home (link).
The left is desperate not to cut back on the goody baskets they have been handing out. They can’t get elected without the bribes.
Taxation without representation caused a revolution.
Let’s break that down for the lefties.
Taxation: That when the government forcefully takes your money. You don’t believe it’s forceful. Try not paying. Eventually, men will show up at your door with guns and put you in prison.
Without: That’s the opposite of “with”
Representation: That’s when you have someone standing up for your position.
Our country revolted against a tyrannical government that taxed the citizen without giving them a say. Guess what. Debt is taxation without representation. My children have not reached the voting age yet. They are not represented in Congress. My grandchildren are years away. They are not being represented in Congress. My great grandchildren won’t be here for many years away and they are not represented in Congress, but all of them will pay for the excesses of the Obama administration because it will take us generations to pay back the trillion dollars failed stimulus.
And how do I feel about the Bush debt…the same way, but the worst Bush debt is a mere fraction of the best Obama debt.
That is taxation without representation.

The left is getting angrier. They always hated FOX, but now their anger is turning to violence. (Video)
And as a side note: Their chanting of “Fox News Lies” is pathetic. The left used to mock the right for suggesting their was “bias” in the media, but when someone challenges their point of view, it’s not bias…it’s lies. Pathetic.

Ann Althouse reminds us that Sarah Palin was captured in a Gotcha moment with a question about the “Bush Doctrine”. Well, can someone explain the “Obama Doctrine”? Can Obama?
Our President finally had something to say about Libya slaughtering its citizens who are protesting against a nut-job dictator.
You can read his statement (if you can stand it)…or you can skip it and just read how Scott Johnson of the PowerLineBlog sums it up
Mr. President, it’s good to know you’re on message with the Arab League, the African Union, and the Organization of the Islamic Conference. And what a relief to hear that you’re sending Secretary Clinton over to Geneva to lead the charge at the United Nations Human Rights Council. That is a masterstroke.
Oh, man, you are lame. And just about everybody knows it but you.
How can you tell the left is losing?
Protesting is patriotic again.
Protesting was patriotic when George Bush was president and for 2 years it was akin to terrorism. Now that power is slipping through their progressive fingers, protesting is OK again.
That is fine with me (as long as they don’t get violent). The hypocrisy and stupidity of the left is in full display when their foot soldiers take to the streets.
Here are two videos you can file under, “Can you imagine if a (conservative, tea partier, Republican) said it.
First, the fat lady asking the well dressed black man if he has any children….that he claims.
And the second video is a woman telling a man his is a bad Jew.
Liberals are claiming that the battle in Wisconsin is not about money and debt. To them it’s about rights. They believe public union workers have a “right” to collective bargaining.
Even an organized labor hero disagrees. FDR disagrees. He argued against collective bargaining by public unions, and he did more than any other president in history to support unions. He also worked hard to redefine what a right is. FDR proposed a second bill of rights that sounded like he was channling Karl Marx.
That is how far we have strayed since FDR first empowered labor unions. It used to be that labor unions just destroyed the industries they worked in. Public employee unions work in the most impotant industry…our country. This great country is done if their greed brings down the industry they work in.

I have heard too many times that their is no difference between the Republicans and the Democrats. What a joke.
Look a Madison Wisconsin where the Republicans finally are in control of the government. They are standing up to the unions. The Democrats wouldn’t do that.
It’s the same story in Ohio. The new Republican majority is also standing up to the unions.
Chris Christie in New Jersey has been at it with the teacher’s union for over a year.
No difference? It took tax and spend Democrats in those bankrupt states to wake the voters up. Now elected Republican leaders are willing to stand tall and Democrats are running away.
There is a huge difference between Republicans and Democrats.

I couldn’t resist becuase of my love for Italian food:
But to say (the Wisconsin) protests are merely about collective-bargaining rights is to say The Godfather is a movie about Italian food…read more
It’s not about the money. It’s about their rights to extort money. It would be short sighted to demand a small increase now just to lose all their future pay-offs.

To Republicans, the budget fight has involved the widespread shirking of responsibilities: teachers walking out on students, legislators running away from their offices, even doctors abandoning medical standards to make excuses for perfectly healthy teacher/protesters. To Democrats, the fight has touched a core issue; anything is justified to preserve union benefits…read more
Pick a side. Do you wan to be on the side of responsibility or union benefits?
Just in case anyone forgot. We have young men and women in a foreign land fighting a savage enemy in Afghanistan. I wonder how their morale is. The Commander and Chief is more interested in giving moral support to the labor unions in Wisconsin who will sacrifice little while paying little attention to the men and women who have volunteered to pay the ultimate sacrifice.
God bless the American soldier who is ready to sacrifice so much and asks for little.
The new line from liberals is we don’t really have a budget problem. Social Security is just fine. I saw a clip of Rachel Maddow make that point, there was an editorial in the Philadelphia Inquirer saying that same thing and E.J. Dionne was complaining that the Tea Party had won because we were talking about debt instead of more important things. Gee…all on the same day.
A classy blogger over at the Huffington Posts claims, “It’s not raining. We’re getting peed on.” Jonathan Tasini, did you go to one of those fancy liberal schools to learn how to craft such wit?
There are probably a ton more examples. The marching orders have been given.
It’s simply amazing. When the budget deficit was at 4 billion for one year under Bush, these same people where crazy about the Bush deficit. Now that the debt is trillions year after year after year…it’s a phony crisis.
They are either detached from reality or utterly shameless…or both. I think I’ll go with “both”.
