This is a reminder to those who think the government service is superior suppliers to the free market. Greed is a human condition. It is not a factor of markets or capitalism.

A Philadelphia Department of Licenses and Inspection inspector was indicted today on federal extortion charges for allegedly using his position to thwart the sale of a commercial property he wanted to buy to anyone but himself.

So the question is, do we want to transfer market controls to a government that also has the power to regulate, legislate and punish. Giving government too much power has always been (and always will be) a recipe for disaster.
