Last year, I was out of town during the worst snow storm in years. How can I manage that again? I guess it’s time to start thinking about a snow blower.

In this picture, the organizers of the event claimed
there were over 1.5 million people. The parks service
estimated 400,000.
In this picture, the organizers of the event claimed there
were over 500,000 people. The parks service won’t
estimate anymore, but the press estimates 87,000.
The photos show crowds that are similar sizes. The organizers of the 2nd rally are ridiculed for estimating what the park services in the first rally. The organizers of the 2nd rally threatened to sue, causing the park services to halt public disclosure of crowd estimates.
Some things just don’t make sense to me. The first picture is the Million Man March. The second event is the Restoring Honor Rally. That clarifies why there is a discrepancy (victims versus spiritualism), but it still makes no sense.
The previous post made me go back and check the Joe the Plumber quote (facts matter). I was reminded of the first part of Obama’s response to Sam (Joe the Plumber) Wurzelbacher.
If you’re a small business, which you would qualify, first of all, you would get a 50 percent tax credit so you’d get a cut in taxes for your health care costs.
Wait! Look over there. George Bush is a liar!
How do smart people act so (let’s use the President’s word) stupidly. A wealthy Democrats is awakening to the reality he helped to created.
“As every student of American history knows, this country’s core founding principles included nonpunitive taxation, constitutionally guaranteed protections against persecution of the minority and an inexorable right of self-determination,” he wrote. “Washington has taken actions over the past months, like the Goldman suit that seem designed to fracture the populace by pulling capital and power from the hands of some and putting it in the hands of others.”
Did you miss the whole “Joe the Plumber” episode of the campaign? I’ll quote your guy, “I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody”.
The Florida 8th Congressional District leans to the GOP. Florida can remove the embarrassment, Alan Grayson.
Maybe the people of the 8th districut thought they were getting a thoughtful intellectual from Harvard. They didn’t. They got a bomb throwing progressive who is wildly out of step with the district.
This quote from Cathlene Sebelious is scary and politically tone deaf.
we have a lot of reeducation to do…read more
Do you think the hundreds of thousands that just trekked to Washington want to be “reeducated” by Cathlene Sebelious?
Obama blames Bush again: It Took Nearly A Decade To Dig The Hole That We’re In.
There’s an old saying: When you’re in a hole, stop digging.
Change I can believe in: GOP Takes Unprecedented 10-Point Lead on Generic Ballot
Drudge has a Barack Obama juxtaposed next to Putin
I have created my own

His helmet…his clothes…his bike…any way you look at it, Obama looks weak.
Update: I have now seen several other blogs with the same picture of President Bush juxtaposed next to President Obama. I guess the liberals at Google served up a meat ball for us right-wing-nuts to hit out of the park.
Good Observation: Barack brings back memories of PeeWee’s Big Adventure.
Economist say that money is a veil. It obscures the view of real economic activity.
When something is produced, it is traded for other goods or services. You could grow a field full of corn, eat a fraction of it and trade the rest for the goods and services you need. Money makes trading easier, but it is not essential.
Money also makes it easier to tax. The government has little use for a percentage of your corn, but the money taken from you can easily be traded for public projects deemed necessary by the political class.
Consider that veil when you hear Democrats speak of tax cuts. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard the Democrats speak of tax cuts as giving money to the wealthy. Without the veil of money, the Democrats view equates tax cuts to the government coming to your farm and giving you bushels of corn. This can only make sense to someone who believes the 100% of the corn you grow was never yours in the first place.
Billions of dollars handed out to support a hoax equals Carbon Corruption.
Chinese chemical plants are getting UN money to produce an environmentally friendly refrigerant (HCFC-22). The process of making the refrigerant creates gas as a byproduct (HFC-23). According to WattsUpWithThat.com, this byproduct is 11,700 more powerful than CO2 as a green house gas.
Not only are the manufacturers able to sell carbon credits for producing HCFC-22, they can also sell “certified emission reductions” (CERs) for destroying HFC-23, to the tune of about $100,000 per ton!Not surprisingly:
“The evidence is overwhelming that manufacturers are creating excess HFC-23 simply to destroy it and earn carbon credits,” said Mark Roberts of the Environmental Investigation Agency, a research and advocacy group. “This is the biggest environmental scandal in history and makes an absolute mockery of international efforts to combat climate change.
The UN is the like the World Cup of corruption.
This is a reminder to those who think the government service is superior suppliers to the free market. Greed is a human condition. It is not a factor of markets or capitalism.
A Philadelphia Department of Licenses and Inspection inspector was indicted today on federal extortion charges for allegedly using his position to thwart the sale of a commercial property he wanted to buy to anyone but himself.
So the question is, do we want to transfer market controls to a government that also has the power to regulate, legislate and punish. Giving government too much power has always been (and always will be) a recipe for disaster.
Edmunds is reporting the used car prices are up 30% over last year. 30%!!!! (Link)
Hmmm….could it be that the government destroyed used automobile to push the green agenda? And you will be hurt by these inflated used car prices? It won’t be John Kerry and his rich pals at the Newport marina. Those who drive to work every day will be hit the hardest.
Don’t kid yourself into thinking this was an unintended consequence. Destroying used cars, taking over GM and Chrysler, pushing a dinky, crappy car for $40,000, drilling moratorium, huge stimulus checks for high speed rail lines. It all adds up to a trend.
Barack Obama and company did this on purpose. They don’t want you driving cars. They want you in trains. You are much easier to control when your transportation is controlled. So get out of your car and your house way out in the burbs. It’s time for a small “energy efficient” apartment near the train platform where you can stand in line, waiting for the union engineers to drive the government train to pick you up.
Meanwhile, the Obama family has a helicopter take them to a waiting Air Force One so they can depart for vacation #224 in style.
The Card Act which went into effect this week says that banks can not charge a penalty of more that $25 for going over your credit limit. Did you think the banks were going to take it on the chin?
The spread on credit card interest–the difference between the interest rate on your charges, and the Treasury benchmark rate–is the highest it’s been in 22 years. The culprit? The CARD Act, which has given banks much less flexibility in the fees they charge.
We have switched from a fee for undisciplined borrowers to a interest penalty for all. How is it that some people thing regulations are the cure for all our ills? It seems like every bad situation gets worse whenever the government gets involved.
