Conservative base their politics in principal. We believe in the Constitution and long held values. Principals guide our positions on issues. Fairness will happen only when we stick to time honored principals.

Liberals believe in the end game. They want equality and shared prosperity. They think about the end game in their decision making process. The Constitution, laws, social norms need to be ignored when they get in the way of progress toward their final utopia.

To be effective with a liberal, you can’t argue principals and morals. They don’t care.
