After 2007, we were warned that the ice was melting and that we would soon have ice free summers at the North Pole. But did the ice melt? Watch the video below and pay attention to the red color coded area.
The theory from WattsUpWithThat:
At the beginning of May, ice thickness was about three metres in the center of the red square. By mid-June it was getting thicker, and by early September it was close to five metres thick! During the notorious summer of “record melt” which we have been told about ad nauseum, the ice thickness near the most affected area increased by 60%. What could have caused this? Simple – the ice was compacting to the north as it was pushed by southerly winds. It lost area – while it gained thickness.
She says she makes $14,000 less than $83,000. It appears she lied.
With benefits, she rakes in over $100,000 of tax payer money every year. She also has a guaranteed job and a pension until she dies.
We hear about greed all the time, but how come it only applies to business men that create wealth. This woman says she teaches because she loves it. You know what? I love coaching soccer and I do it for free.

Bare with me. What if the housing bubble wasn’t a run away capital market? What if it was planned by socialists?
Think about it.
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are no longer government sponsored entities (GSE). No they are wholly owned government entities. That means there is a very good chance that the government is holding your loan. The government is now holding trillions of dollars in mortgages.
Think of it another way. You don’t own your house. The bank does…or should I say…the bank used to own your house. All you own is a small percentage of your home and if you stop making payments, you will soon find that you own none of it.
But wait…
The banks sold the loans to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac…and Fannie and Freddie were going bankrupt so the government took them over. In other words, the government now owns trillions of dollars in real estate.
Don’t worry.
The government doesn’t want your house. They want you to stay in your home (just like they want you to keep your doctor) for now. And you can sell your home anytime you want. You’ll just have to pay Obama’s new real estate tax that everyone must pay…even us suckers who make under $250,000. So you can sell your home, but it won’t be easy.
But what if it gets worse.
The Great Depression didn’t end when Hoover handed over the reigns to FDR. As a matter of fact, the depression dragged on for years. I’m not saying FDR wanted to drag on, but he sure did take advantage of peoples desperation. He stole property, demonized businessmen and destroyed food while men stood in line at soup kitchens. He was the closest thing we have had to a a socialist dictator (which is why Barack Obama compares himself to FDR and liberals everywhere love him).
So what?
If we hit another desperate time, our government is not poised to say, “We have these empty homes and people who need them”. They won’t give them away because “the people own the home”, but they will let you live in the home.
Seems to me like we just took one huge step toward socialism. The only thing we are missing is that last crisis (like Europe collapsing or a new Korean War or a huge environmental disaster). Face it, the government already owns most of the homes in America. They own the car companies. They are poised to take over the health care industry and banks. What’s next, the oil companies?
We aren’t that far away from socialism. Let’s just hope my mind is gone a little wacky after a long hard day of working so someone else can retire early.

Many people are concerned about the value of the dollar. Massive government debt threatens their live savings. As a hedge against inflation, they are buying gold. (Do I sound like Goldline commercial?)
But is your gold safe with a progressive in the White House. It wasn’t during the Great Depression. Citizens who tried to shelter their savings with gold soon found they were threatened by the federal government. They were forced to turn over their gold for “gold certificates”. Those who did not comply were sent to jail and fined.
On April 5 President Roosevelt issued an executive order requiring holders of gold to turn it into the Treasury in exchange for paper currency under penalty of ten years imprisonment and $10,000 fine. Department of Justice agents began visiting known hoarders who, to date, have surrendered $38,901,009 in gold. During the same period unknown hoarders have given up more than $300,000,000. Attorney General Cummings issued threat of prosecution against recalcitrants who still held $560,201,000.
On Aug. 28 President Roosevelt issued another order requiring every possessor of gold to register his holdings with the Treasury before Sept. 18. Those who failed to do so were also to be punished by ten years imprisonment, $10,000 fine.
Barack Obama thinks he is the next Roosevelt. Roosevelt was president for 8 years of a depression…a “great” depression. Eight long years. Roosevelt also blamed everything on his predecessor. Roosevelt also believed in a progressive government that had not use for the Constitution and cared little for individual freedoms. Roosevelt and Obama both attack American business and stifle investment with government intrusions.
Hey…may Obama and I finally agree on something. He sucks as bad as Roosevelt.
President Obama’s approval rating hit a new low today. Rasmussen has him at -22%.
He claimed the worst was behind us economically. European countries collapsing may mean it is in front of us.
He said that his stimulus package would save jobs. It didn’t. Our unemployment rate is still hovering around 10%.
He toured the world apologizing to get foreigners to like us. We came across weak and now we have Iran ignoring us and North Korea sinking ships.
He said the seas would begin to recede after he was elected. The American people are learning that they were never rising.
He said he would have the most transparent administration in history. We can’t get simple answers to simple question…like who offered Joe Sestak a job?
Do you feel like our Congress is listening to you? Do you feel more secure? I don’t.

Conservative base their politics in principal. We believe in the Constitution and long held values. Principals guide our positions on issues. Fairness will happen only when we stick to time honored principals.
Liberals believe in the end game. They want equality and shared prosperity. They think about the end game in their decision making process. The Constitution, laws, social norms need to be ignored when they get in the way of progress toward their final utopia.
To be effective with a liberal, you can’t argue principals and morals. They don’t care.

President Obama’s approval rating had been trending negative from the day he took office until his health care “reforms” were passed. When the next step to socialized medicine was finally shoved down our throats, his liberal base applauded and this appears in the Rasmussen poll. Notice that the President’s disapproval numbers didn’t change much.
But the bounce didn’t last. Pro-environment people (that would be everyone) are not happy with the government response to the oil slick in the Gulf of Mexico. We are not interested in finger pointing (the President’s specialty). We want it fixed and cleaned up. There will be plenty of time finger pointing in law suits once the oil stops and the shorelines are cleaned.
What can the President do? To be fair, he can’t stop the leak. He can’t clean up. He can’t do much (government rarely can). What he can do is stay engaged and fast track things that need to get done now. He needs to alleviate some of those regulations he seems to love so much. He is suppose to be a great “organizer”. I’m thinking he could organize a more effective response if he would lay off the vacations, basketball and golf…or is that too much to ask of Prince Barack?
SEIU owes Bank of America millions of dollars. Instead of getting the house in order, the organize a protest in front of a residence (completely ignored by the MSM) with one goal…intimidation.
Please read a first hand account from Nina Easton. There are many bad guys in this story. First and foremost is SEIU, a thugacracy in bed with the Obama Administration. There is the Huffington Post which disgusts me. There is the silent MSM that reallly needs to grow a pair.
One of these days, these liberals will show up at the wrong house, tensions will rise, shots will be fired and then we are off to the races.
It’s scary stuff and it could all be quieted by a President who was bound to unite us instead of divide us. Let’s hope we can make to 2012 without a tragedy.

The headline “The Next Bailout: $165B for Unions” pissed me off before I clicked the link…and then it got worse. My Senator is proposing to use tax dollars to pay off the union pensions that are driving this countries finances into the ground. To make it worse,
Although right now taxpayers could possibly be on the hook for $165 billion, the liability could essentially be unlimited because these pensions have to be paid out until the workers die.
Bob Casey (an empty suit if there ever was one) wants to save “jobs and help people”, but let’s clarify. Bob Casey wants to help people who get him elected and save jobs that fund his campaigns.

Arizona’s law just reinforces what is already in the federal law. In response, LA threatens a trade war against a neighboring state.
This county was setup as loosely tied independent states with the federal government there to make sure fair trade was enabled across state lines and a common defense.
The federal government has not provided antiquate defense for the citizens of Arizona, so they are taking it upon themselves to reinforce the federal law. They shouldn’t have to, but they feel it is necessary. In response to this reasonable action, LA has started a trade war across state lines.
It is LA that is not following the law of the land…not Arizona. Trade wars between states over politics is a REALLY bad idea, but then again, liberals never think past what they are feeling at the moment. The real tragedy is that the President is letting this divide develop. No more “United we stand, divided we fall”.
Our dear leader is splitting us apart. White versus black. Rich versus poor. California versus Arizona. Why? Is he oblivious to the problems caused by his rhetoric or does he have a plan?
Richard Blumenthal is running for the Senate as Democrat in Connecticut. I first saw Richard Blumenthal on FoxNews explaining his position during the whole bonus scandal (created by Democrats). He is suppose to be a good lawyer, and that may be true…because common sense is a rare commodity in our courts these days. He came across as a glory seeking media hound trying to capitalize on public outrage. He came across as a lawyer who doesn’t care about the law.
I didn’t like him from the start, and now I have more reason to dislike him.
From the New York Times:
He obtained at least five military deferments from 1965 to 1970 and took repeated steps that enabled him to avoid going to war, according to records.
It’s not the avoiding the Vietnam War that I find offensive.
But what is striking about Mr. Blumenthal’s record is the contrast between the many steps he took that allowed him to avoid Vietnam, and the misleading way he often speaks about that period of his life now, especially when he is speaking at veterans’ ceremonies or other patriotic events.
Sometimes his remarks have been plainly untrue, as in his speech to the group in Norwalk. At other times, he has used more ambiguous language, but the impression left on audiences can be similar.
In an interview on Monday, the attorney general said that he had misspoken about his service during the Norwalk event and might have misspoken on other occasions. “My intention has always been to be completely clear and accurate and straightforward, out of respect to the veterans who served in Vietnam,” he said.
And it wasn’t a one time thing. He has repeated his inaccurate remarks and misleading rhetoric. He is not careless with his words. He is a lawyer and he knows how to use language.
lawyer + liar + liberal + draft dodger = loser
(I couldn’t think of a synonym for draf dodger that begins with “L”)
Connecticut has not made good choices in the past. I remember Lowell Weicker. Hell, I voted for that liar. He ran on “no income tax” and one of the first thing he did is sign into law the income tax. I moved out soon after. I also started following politics more closely and realized I was a true conservative. No more moderation for me. No more independents. No more RINOs (Republican In Name Only).
I don’t want moderation or pragmatism. I want freedom from the whims of power hungry liars like Richard Blumenthal and Lowell Weicker.

I have heard this too many time. “Where were you guys when Bush was president?” Liberals like point out that Bush ran deficits too and they claim that opponents of Obama are hypocrites.
As usual, liberals have it all ass-backwards.
When Bush was President, conservatives were moderately concerned about the deficits. Debts were big, but until the last year, at least the trend was headed in the right direction. Now that Obama is president, conservative anxiety about deficits have grown because the deficits have grown. And to make matters worse, Obama continues to push policies that will make the matters worse.
Conservative Position
Small deficit = small concern
Huge deficit = huge concern
That seems completely consistent to me.
What is not consistent is the liberal position. They were all anxious about a small deficit under Bush, but they are willing to overlook a huge deficit by the Obama administration.
Liberal Position
Small deficit = huge concern
Huge deficit = no concern
That is hypocrisy.

The geniuses that run Wall Street and Washington are at it again. We are now bailing out Greece. This will protect big international banks from massive defaults as Greece crumbles. In response, the DOW opened 400 points higher to start the day and it is holding steady.
I’m sure they are all patting themselves on the back right now. They have saved the day.
What they have failed to do is fix the problem. The problem is socialism. As Margret Thatcher once said (paraphrased), socialism fails when you run out of other peoples money. What we need is wealth creation and people living within their means. Until that happens, the problem will continue to grow.
The geniuses figure that it is wise for countries with no money to borrow money to lend to a country with no money and now way to pay it back. These are the same geniuses that decided it was a good idea to give mortgages to people with bad credit. These are the same geniuses ran up our national debt to 13 trillion dollars and our unfunded liabilities to an absolutely scary level.
It was 25 years ago that MOVE, a radical back to nature cult, had a violent standoff with the Philadelphia police. While reading a recounting by a reporter who covered MOVE at the time, I came across this:
I was alone in the hall with Louise and LaVerne, 16 other MOVE members and Mumia Abu-Jamal, a radio reporter for WHYY who recently had grown his hair in dreadlocks. I knew I was hated by MOVE, after being on their hit list in 1978.
They surrounded me and began pummeling me with their hands and grabbing at my notebook. I tried to shield my face and moved toward the wall, holding onto the notebook.
Abu-Jamal shouted repeatedly: “Get her! Get her! Get her!”
The MOVE members continued to hit me on the back, as I inched closer and closer to the door to the judge’s chambers.
I was pounding on the door as they were hitting me. Finally, a court officer opened the door, looked around at the MOVE members and saw me and let me inside.
When I returned to the Daily News, I told managing editor Zack Stalberg what had just happened. I didn’t want to stop covering the story, and I didn’t care if Abu-Jamal had a different angle on a story.
But I was upset that another reporter, Abu-Jamal, would incite MOVE members to assault me.
Stalberg called WHYY to file a complaint about Abu-Jamal’s behavior. Apparently, WHYY was having its own problems with him.
The next time I would hear of him was eight months later, when he was charged with fatally shooting Officer Daniel Faulkner at 13th and Locust streets. Abu-Jamal had been driving a taxi after he lost his job at WHYY.
Abu-Jamal was convicted of the murder and sentenced to death. During his time on death row, he became an international cause célèbre…
Abu-Jamal has been made an honorary citizen of about 25 cities around the world, including Paris, Montreal, Palermo and Copenhagen. In 2001, he received the biennial Erich Mühsam Prize (established in 1993), which recognizes outstanding activism on behalf of a liberatory vision of human society in keeping with that of its anarchist namesake;[102] in particular, most of its awardees have been activists in the cause of social justice for persecuted minorities. In October 2002, he was awarded honorary membership of the Berlin-based Association of Those Persecuted by the Nazi Regime – Federation of Antifascists and Antifascist Groups (VVN-BdA).
On April 29, 2006, a newly-paved road in the Parisian suburb of St Denis was named Rue Mumia Abu-Jamal in his honor
Mumia has always been a violent radical scum-bag. He’s not that difficult to figure out, but what does it say about his supporters. Idiots? Dangerously gullible? Blind partisans? All of the above?
