Here’s an idea. If you want business to expand, give them a stable business environment (you know…the opposite of  “change” and “transforming America) and reduce regulations that drive up costs, hurt small innovative companies that actually create jobs while protecting huge, multinationals corporations with political clout.

Remember that old School House Rock story about how a bill becomes a law. That story told the old fashion way of making laws. Liberals have fundamentally changed our government all the while claiming that they were defending the Constitution (eye’s rolling). From the Power Line Blog:

In 2007, the Supreme Court decided that carbon dioxide should be considered a pollutant under the Clean Air Act. It therefore held that the EPA had not only the power but the duty to regulate this gas. Thus, nine unelected individuals issued, in effect, a directive to the executive branch.

Yesterday, the bureaucrats at the EPA announced that carbon dioxide and several other gases pose a danger to the environment and the health of Americans and that, accordingly, EPA would begin writing regulations to reduce emissions. EPA’s administrator added, however, that she would prefer that Congress pass legislation to accomplish the same task.

As Sen. John Kerry aptly characterized the situation, “the message to Congress is crystal clear: get moving.”

Thus, the executive branch, in response to a directive from judges, is now attempting to pressure Congress into taking action that, from all appearances, Congress does not want to take.

I use reluctantly Google, but I don’t like it. I display Google ads on this blog (if you click on one, you help pay the hosting charges for this site). I use Google  and Google tools because they get the traffic and I need to know how their tools and searches work. It is the environment I live in.

That doesn’t mean I have to like them. The founders and officers of Google are elitist left wingers.

  1. They know better then us little people. That’s why they promote the global warming nonsense.
  2. Have you ever noticed that their logo changes to mark important events? The simple observation that they don’t honor our veterans tells me that they hostile to our American soldiers…you know…the ones who made their great wealth possible.
  3. Eric Schmidt, the CEO of Google, told Maria Bartiromo on CNBC :

If you have something that you don’t want anyone to know, maybe you shouldn’t be doing it in the first place. (read more)

Really? If I don’t want my business competitors to know about me, then I shouldn’t be doing it? If member of my family has a personal problem we are working on, that should be there for all my neighbors to see?

This is the same guy who blacklisted CNET for publishing private information about him….like his salary, hobbies and political donations.

This is what I have come to expect from elitist liberals. Rules and principals are tools for their own power. Privacy is Constitutional right when framed in terms of the abortion debate, privacy is a Constitutional right (even for terrorists) when we are searching for enemies, but privacy is not important when a high powered liberal wants power and/or money.

Some animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.

The EPA has declared green house gases “greenhouse gases (GHGs) threaten the public health and welfare of the American people” (read more)

The #1 green house gas on the planet is water vapor!

Obviously, that’s not what they are talking about. The EPA wants to regulate CO2 emissions, but CO2 is necessary for all life on earth. Plants need it. Without CO2 absorbing plants, there would be no life on earth.

Ignore the current cooling trend. Ignore the satellite readings that show no more absorption of radiated heat (green house effect) even as CO2 levels increase. Ignore those pesky email that describe fraud and corruption at major institutions that trumpet the global warming warming. Don’t you know the debate is over!

The important thing is not global heat…it is CO2 because CO2 is emitted by industry.

This move is a power grab by the environmental nuts. Controlling CO2 is about controlling energy use. It is about hurting industries that environmentalist don’t like…that would be all industries. From this day forward, all companies must go to the alter of the Greeney’s and make a donation to save the planet before they can move forward with their evil profit making ways.

Americans don’t believe the global warming scam…screw ‘em.

Americans don’t want socialized medicine…screw ‘em.

Americans don’t want massive government debt…screw ‘em.

You may wonder why our political leaders are more interested in health care reform than they are in jobs. I think I know the answer.

People who have lost their jobs have also lost their health insurance. Congress wants to leverage not only lost jobs, but the fear of losing your job. Once they have health care passed, they will can start dishing out the rest of that massive stimulus package in hopes of getting a short term economic bounce before the election.

Those awful hunters…

3 hunters die on first day of deer season

Three hunters have died and five other people, including a 10-year-old girl, were reported injured on opening day Monday of Pennsylvania’s two-week rifle deer season.

Dustin Manning, 30, of Pleasant Gap died of head injuries when he fell from a makeshift ladder he was using as a tree stand in Plumcreek Township, according to Armstrong County Coroner Robert Bower.

In Bedford County, one hunter died of an apparent heart attack; another was found dead. State police said Tuesday they do not suspect foul play in the hunter’s death.

Why is this news?

How many people died of heart attacks this week bowling? How about falling from ladders while putting up Christmas lights?

Another person is “found dead” and this is associated with deer season. What if we find someone in the woods during Kwanza…is there a correlation there?

If you compare our current recession to the recession of 1982 we find that the unemployment rate among college graduates is higher now than it was in 1982. The unemployment rate among high school graduates and high school drop outs are also higher now then it was int 1982, yet the overall unemployment rate is lower.

How can that be?

It’s called Simpon’s Paradox (read more…). Essentially, there has been an educational shift in this country. More people are now college educated. Even though the unemployment rate among college graduates is higher now than it was in 1982, a shift in the population has hidden the unemployment outlook for each group.

Notice that the unemployment rate for each group is higher in the second table, yet the overall rate is lower.

Why is this important?

It’s not. It’s just interesting.

algoreI wouldn’t buy a car from this smug, arrogant blowhard. Why would I believe him with sweeping governmental powers to control our energy use?

It looks like even Al Gore knows his crusade is lost. He has canceled his lecture at the Copenhagen conference.

Over the years, people have paid big bucks to listen to Al speak. That must make you feel like dupe who buys a car to find out that it has a yellow undercoat (taxi) and a rolled back odometer.

If you are not the scientific type…here is all you need to know about the global warming debate. NASA is being sued under the freedom of information act to get the temperature data they used for their theories (read more).

Holding back data so others can’t review it is not science. It is politics.

Democrats love to say they have science on their side. That is basically meaningless when it comes  from politicians who have no concept of science.
