Does every job need to support a family? What about teenagers? Do they need to support a family? Teenagers need work experience. What about  spouses who are looking for part time work while their kids are in school? Schedule may be as important as salary.  What about retired people looking to supplement their Social Security?

Obama’s logic is the same thinking that increased the minimum wage earlier this year. We now have the highest unemployment rate for ever for young men (LINK). Progressives always look forward. They never look back to see the destruction caused by their ideals.

Obama tries to be coy. He never says what his intent is, but his supporters know that he is talking to them. His quote is a recasting of the “living wage” argument. As with most of his policies, it is not about the little guy. It is more support thrown to big labor unions.
