“Social Justice” is one of the catch phrases that the Left likes to use. The way liberals uses the phrase, “social justice” means redistributing the wealth from the privileged class to the exploited. The nonsense of this concept is way more that I want to get into right now.
“Social Justice” to me has come to mean something entirely different. I have been a responsible citizen. I work hard and live within my means. Now the government is bailing out those those who took great risks or were not at all responsible. This is a punishment for responsible citizens and a burden for generations to come.
Putting a financial burden on generations that have yet to be born is taxation without representation. The burden of bailouts is unjust. It is generational tyranny.

Justice Department political appointees overruled career lawyers and ended a civil complaint accusing three members of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense of wielding a nightstick and intimidating voters at a Philadelphia polling place last Election Day, according to documents and interviews.(LINK)
In other words, the Obama Administrations is looking the other way while thugs are intimidating voters. As usual, the hypocrisy is overwhelming.
A Justice Department spokesman on Thursday confirmed that the agency had dropped the case, dismissing two of the men from the lawsuit with no penalty and winning an order against the third man that simply prohibits him from bringing a weapon to a polling place in future elections.
Ow. That punishment most have hurt.
Don’t forget the cries of voter intimation in Florida (egged on by the media) after the 2000 election because some police were near the polling place …. they were there to monitor the increased traffic brought on by the election. Trained cops who take an oath to protect are intimidating….black thugs with weapons who appoint themselves as overseers are OK.

During the run up to the election, I had a neighbor tell me that he didn’t want to hear claims that Barack Obama was a socialist. He thought such claims were forwarded by over zealous partisans.
He should have listened because now the US government owes a very large stake in “private” business. So far, the government has a majority stake in manufacturing and banking ( GM, Chrysler, AIG and Citigroup). These are industries that government policy has destroyed. It is only a matter of time before the Obama administration tackles private health insurance…another industry with government involvement. Judging for his vision of self grandeur, his support for a cap-and-tax policy and the rising cost of gas…it is only a matter of time before he destroys and takes over energy as well.
We should step back from the claim of socialism. Socialism is when the government owns the means of production. If we take the President at his word, he doesn’t want to run the car companies. He doesn’t want to be a banker. After all, he is a community organizer. He just wants to steer them in the “proper” direction. That’s fascism…not socialism.
Voters didn’t listen to the warnings that Obama was a left wing radical, and now we will all suffer the consequences.

Does anyone believe that President Obama thinks experience is an important qualification? He selected Judge Sonia Sotomayor because he needed to pick a liberal to placate his left flank while still having protection from his right flank. A protracted fight for the Supreme Court will undermine his chance to get socialized medicine and pass the cap and tax plan.
That’s why we got the warning from the White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs:
I think it is probably important for anybody involved in this debate to be exceedingly careful with the way in which they’ve decided to describe different aspects of this impending confirmation
As if conservatives didn’t already know the liberal playbook. They are ready to scream sexism or racism at the slightest hint of criticism.
The irony is the racism displayed by the Democrats and our first “black” President. Like most conservatives, I couldn’t care less what her sex or race is. All I’m concerned about is someone who will defend the Constitution as a written, non-living document…someone who understands the meaning of words and doesn’t redefined even simple terms like “is”. I want someone who understands and respects the Founding Fathers.
If picking someone for the Supreme Court by their race and for potential votes from the largest growing minority is “politically savvy”, and supporting the ideals of the Constitution and the vision of our founders is racist…then we truly have been duped by dishonest, self-serving people.
Ralph Ellis describes the problems with renewable energy and why it is a danger to put political muscle behind the efforts to move us to so-called “free” sources of energy. (LINK)
However, it is my belief that this sublime day-dream actually holds the seeds for our economic decline and for social disorder on an unprecedented scale. Why? Because no technical and industrial society can maintain itself on unreliable and intermittent power supplies.
Tidal power is linked to the moon.
This sinusoidal tidal pattern produces four slack periods during each day when the tide is turning…This means that for every tidal system installed, a conventional power station will have to be either built or retained to ensure continuity of energy supply. But this power station will have to be up and running all the time, what is known in the industry as ’spinning-reserve’
Wind power is unreliable
The truth of the matter is that there are numerous days without significant winds across the UK, and when those conditions occur it doesn’t matter how much installed generating capacity we have, for it all goes off-line. A report from Denmark 2 indicates that the Danish ‘wind carpet’, which is the largest array of wind turbines in Europe, generated less than 1% of installed power on 54 days during 2002.
Power can be stored in in pumped storage systems. Essentially, these systems work by pumping water to the top of a mountain in off-peak hours. The water runs downhill through turbines when the power is required. These systems can provide power for a very limited time, and the environmentalist are opposed to them because they are built in “areas of outstanding beauty”.
There are other power storage system…they are all expensive and inefficient.
Read the whole thing if you are interested in learning about the high hurdles required to move toward more renewable energy. (LINK)
Democrats are frequently invoking science or the opinion of un-named, generic scientists.
Henry Waxmax just made the claim in the hearings on Cap and Tax. (Hat Tip to Michelle Malkin)
Don’t buy it. The Democrats have politicized science. Jim Hanson at NASA is nothing but a political advocate for Global Warming. Even as the case for global warming is falling apart, they still cling to an international body of “scientists” whose motive is far from pure.
The Democrats control the purse strings that fund scientist and therefore the can gain the consensus on any scientific subjest they want. They have redefined the term “political science”

When America strays from our values, it not only undermines the rule of law, it alienates us from our allies (LINK)
The only values that Barack Obama seems to embrace are made up ones. Does anyone thing for one second that our military didn’t use harsh interrogations during WWI and WWII? Liberals are squeamish when it comes to using force against our enemies (our real enemies…the people who want to kill us).
Contrast this line of thinking with some of our other “values”. America has founded on individual rights and limited government. Barack Obama doesn’t mind breaking from those traditional values. He believes in a strong central government with the power to “redistribute” (his word…not mine). This alienates productive Americans…the left’s true enemy.
As for the “rule of law”…bankruptcy law is not one that Barack Obama feels the need to support. He ignored the rule of law when he stole Chrysler and GM from the rightful owners. The bond holders in GM…many of whom where pensions plans…where sent packing so he could give a huge gift to the UAW.
Values and the rule of law are buzz words our President uses in a speech. These words mean nothing to him. Power is his overriding principal.
President Obama has announced his plan to raise the fuel efficiency standards for automobiles. He admits that this will add additional costs to new cars. Some estimates predict that higher standards will raise the price of a new car by $1300.
Don’t worry. According to our President Obama, the additional efficiency will pay for the extra costs within three years. That’s great…isn’t it?
Not really. Most people buy cars on credit. The extra cost will actually have additional interest rate costs as well. Car loans are currently around 7%. If we assume that interest rates will stay the same (a very unlikely assumption given the massive debt Obama has incurred), you will pay an additional $1400 in interest on the additional efficiency costs. For most people, it will take 6 years to pay off the Obama efficiency tax.
It gets worse.
The president has already promised to Cap and Tax energy. He has to stop the seas from rising! Oil refiners are big emitters of green house gases. There is little doubt that Cap and Tax will increase the price of refined products. In otherwords, you may be using less gas…but you might be spending more for gas…and everything that requires energy to build.
When the President is done with his promised “change”, you will be spending more money on a car you don’t want.
There is one flaw in my logic. I failed to mention that the car will be built by a organized labor/government entity. Chances are that your future car won’t start very often. Just think how much you will save then.
On Thursday, May 14, 2009 I was notified that my Dodge franchise, that we purchased, will be taken away from my family on June 9, 2009 without compensation and given to another dealer at no cost to them. My new vehicle inventory consists of 125 vehicles with a financed balance of 3 million dollars. This inventory becomes impossible to sell with no factory incentives beyond June 9, 2009. Without the Dodge franchise we can no longer sell a new Dodge as “new,” nor will we be able to do any warranty service work. Additionally, my Dodge parts inventory, (approximately $300,000.) is virtually worthless without the ability to perform warranty service. There is no offer from Chrysler to buy back the vehicles or parts inventory.
President Obama has set the precedent with the auto industry. Contracts are meaningless. This can’t be good.

President Obama says that millions of jobs will be created by his enviornmental initiatives. Suppose it is true. Does it makes sense to use millions of extra workers to supply our national energy needs?
Consider another important product…food. Would it make sense to outlaw the tractor? Such a move would require millions of farmers (jobs) and reduce our dependence on foreign oil, but it would be an economic disaster. The mechanical age brought the farm tractor that allowed a smaller number of farmers to supply the countries food. This reduced the cost of food, increased exports and enabled millions of workers to move from farms to factories. Major advances in manufacturing since then have increased production efficiency and allowed workers to move from factories to service jobs.
These advances have increase the available people in other industries like health and recreation making all of our lives better. Our economy thrives on efficiency, productivity and growth. Forcing a less efficient alternative (wind power and solar power) is not beneficial. It is a major step backward.
Friends of Democrats can’t fail. House Democrats are trying to save minority-owned broadcasters that can’t survive in the free market.
House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) is leading an effort to convince Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner to take “decisive action” by extending credit to (minority-owned) sector of the broadcasting industry. (LINK)
Our future is bleak if this is how business survival will be determined in this country.

NEW YORK (AP) – Longtime fundraiser Norman Hsu was convicted Tuesday of violating campaign finance laws in a case that became an embarrassment to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and other prominent Democrats he courted. (LINK)
It goes without saying that this won’t get the attention that Jack Abramoff got, even though cheating in our elections is probably the most destructive thing a person could do.
When Obama took office, former President George W. Bush went quietly to his new house in Texas, slipped intentionally into anonymity and honored protocol by staying silent about his successor.
But Cheney, widely remembered for heading to undisclosed secure locations at times of national crisis and for working invisibly behind the scenes, has done just the opposite.
What Protocol? I wish Al Gore and Jimmy Carter would stay silent. For that matter, Bill Clinton hasn’t been very silent either. Walter Mondale was a Senator. He certainly wasn’t silent.
What the AP is pushing is that Democrats can speak out after leaving office. Afer all, to a liberal reporter, Democrats are fighting for good causes. But Republicans should remain silent and not criticize Democrats.
This is why I look for the AP inidacator at the top of “news” stories. AP=Always Pathetic

So you think that money is the root of all evil?… Have you ever asked what is the root of money? Money is a tool of exchange, which can’t exist unless there are goods produced and men able to produce them. Money is the material shape of the principle that men who wish to deal with one another must deal by trade and give value for value. Money is not the tool of the moochers, who claim your product by tears, or the looters who take it from you by force. Money is made possible only by the men who produce. Is this what you consider evil? … Not an ocean of tears nor all the guns in the world can transform those pieces of paper in your wallet into bread you need to survive tomorrow. … Whenever destroyers appear among men, they start by destroying money, for money is men’s protection and the base of a moral existence. Destroyers seize gold and leave its owners a counterfeit pile of paper. This kills all objective standards and delivers men into the arbitrary power of an arbitrary setter of values… Paper is a mortgage on wealth that does not exist, backed by a gun aimed at those who are expected to produce it. Paper is a check drawn by legal looters upon an account which is not theirs: upon the virtue of the victims. Watch for the day when it becomes marked: ‘Account Overdrawn‘… Francisco d’Anconia
Looters…those who take by force
(You’ll go to jail if you don’t pay your taxes…unless you are in Barack Obama’s inner circle.
Moochers…those who demand so they can give to others
(redistributers…like Barack Obama)
Barack Obama is wielding arbitrary power (fired GE CEO, sidesteps normal bankruptcy laws) and setting arbitrary values (bonuses to AIG are bad, bonuses to Fannie Mae are good)
The US Treasury is an “Account overdrawn”
