Barack Obama says we have lost our `sense of shared prosperity…”
He’s not talking about charitable donations. He recently discovered his charitable side….right about the time he considered running for president.
What he is talking about is rediscovering the American brand of socialism started in the 1930′s. Mandatory income redistribution is what he wants. People like Barack don’t believe it’s your salary. They believe that people will work hard regardless of their own self interest. If he gives a good enough speech, we will work our fingers to the bone for “shared prosperity”. Go ahead and keep working….your neighbors need the money.
Back in the real world…socialism has failed over and over again, but some people never learn.
UPDATE: How unfortunate for Barack…but good for the rest of us.
Older Americans wealthier, living longer
…the average net worth of older Americans — those 65 or older — has increased almost 80 percent over the past 20 years…We’ve seen significant improvements in poverty. The percent of those with low income has gone down, education has increased, life expectancy has increased,”
When Obama says “shared prosperity”, is he talking about taking money away from seniors to help working families? I seriously doubt it.
