How many examples of poorly run government programs must we endure before people wake up. The New Jersey CHIP program is just the latest in a long list of poorly run program. Link. (hat tip to Michelle Malkin)
People earning as much as $295,000 are enrolled in a state health care program designed for New Jersey’s poor, according to a new audit that found the state failing to check eligibility for all program enrollees.
One of the costs involved with private health insurance is the constant vigilance required to reduce fraud. The government has the same problem. I have a great way to remove this cost. Well, it’s not exactly my idea. Change the system so we pay the doctor directly with our own money. Like auto insurance, health insurance should cover very expensive, unplanned expenses.
There’s more:
The state also failed to try to collect $4.6 million owed to the program by 16,300 people who were disembroiled, the audit found.
Cue the calculator: That’s only $286 per disembroiled case. My guess is that it would cost the state $10 million to recover $4.6 million. I base that on their general capacity to screw up everything they touch…but good luck with that Universal Health Care plan.

What does Barack Obama think of Black Liberation theology and how will this effect his decisions as President (God help us).
This type of question was asked of Mitt Romney and the Morman Church. It could be that Mitt is more religious then Barack, so the sway of the church is less important. It could also mean that Barack buys into much of the teachings.
Shouldn’t the question be asked?

Barack Obama says we have lost our `sense of shared prosperity…”
He’s not talking about charitable donations. He recently discovered his charitable side….right about the time he considered running for president.
What he is talking about is rediscovering the American brand of socialism started in the 1930′s. Mandatory income redistribution is what he wants. People like Barack don’t believe it’s your salary. They believe that people will work hard regardless of their own self interest. If he gives a good enough speech, we will work our fingers to the bone for “shared prosperity”. Go ahead and keep working….your neighbors need the money.
Back in the real world…socialism has failed over and over again, but some people never learn.
UPDATE: How unfortunate for Barack…but good for the rest of us.
Older Americans wealthier, living longer
…the average net worth of older Americans — those 65 or older — has increased almost 80 percent over the past 20 years…We’ve seen significant improvements in poverty. The percent of those with low income has gone down, education has increased, life expectancy has increased,”
When Obama says “shared prosperity”, is he talking about taking money away from seniors to help working families? I seriously doubt it.
There is a terrorist trial going on in Canada…not that our media would notice. Terrorism is basically a way of using violence against civilians for some political change. What is the political change that these clowns were striving for:
“…establish the religion of Allah and to get rid of the oppressors”
I would hope that most people would understand the implications of this thinking. Unfortunately, I fear that too many people like Al Gore think Global Climate change is our most pressing issue. Hey Al, the debate is over. Muslims want you to worship Allah. That should work out great for you. We will really cut down on CO2 if the Muslims take us back 1000 years. Wouldn’t that be great?
Chester County teachers will be walking as a healthy example to the children. Elaine Easter of the Brandywine YMCA says,
“who’s a better example than teachers and administrators?”…more
Ahhh….parents maybe.

The phrase “predatory lending†is an oxymoron. No one is forced to take someone else’s money. The adjective “predatory†should be used to describe actions that are forced on one of the parties. How about we apply predatory to taxes and legal action; as in “Predatory taxes†or “predatory legal action Someone gets devoured by one of those actions.

On Barack’s Web site he is quoted:
“I believe that America’s free market has been the engine of America’s great progress. It’s created a prosperity that is the envy of the world.” Capatilist believe that individuals should own capital and have the rights on how to use capital, how to in invest capital.
Wow….I really like that statement. I totally agree. Should I consider voting for Barack. HELL NO
He sounds great and then lays out a litany of ways he wants to regulate the free market.
From “fair” trade, to job training, to energy policy, to support for unions….he lists policies that are the exact opposite of his opening line about a free market.
Don’t believe me…read it, but really read it. Don’t just read the big text at the top (that is what they want you to read). Think of the implications of his policies. Does it match his non-specific speeches?
What irks me is that he knows America wants a free market system….so he praises it…but he will fight tooth and nail to destroy it.

Obama tries to blow off his pastor’s remarks again. According to the AP article
“This is somebody that was preaching three sermons at least a week for 30 years and it got boiled down … into a half-minute sound clip and just played it over and over and over again, partly because it spoke to some of the racial divisions we have in this country,”
He still fails to recognize that this is not about what his paster said at any given moment. The issue is his overall philosophy. (Never) Wright believes in Black Liberation Theology. That is not in question. What is in question is Barack’s believes. Does he believe in Black Liberation Theology and if not…why did he go to church with a pastor who did.
I’ll repeat….This is not about sound bites. Answer the fricking question, “What do think of Black Liberation Theology?”

The Human Rights Watch web site has a section where they break down human rights news by continent. If there is troubles in Burma, then you should look in the Asia category. If Iran is stoning women for have the audacity of being raped, then you need to look in the Middle East section. If Cuba sends people who have the nerve to criticize Castro into jail, then the Americas section is the place to be.
There is one country that you need not look amongst their neighbors. You can go directly to their abuses because they have their own section. This county must be really bad to have a whole section.
Obviously, the United States is such a horrible place that Human Right Watch needs to keep an extra category just to keep up with all our abuses. That explains why so many people are lining up to get here….oh wait…that does not make any sense at all. Well, Human Rights Watch is a respected organization…so those millions who leave their homelands to come here must be absolutely insane.

Kansas has bowed to environmental extremist. Governor Sebelius vetoed a bill that would have opened a path way for building a coal fired plant with two 700 megawatt generators. She is concerned about CO2. So if you think that the global warming nut-cases are only a threat, think again.
Building new power plants does not change the demand for electricity. So her concern is misplaced unless it is her plan to increase electricity prices so much that demand drops. By building a new power plant that uses clean coal technology, Kansas could have reduced pollution by using the new power plant on a full time basis and using some of the older plants only during peak usage.
Governor Sebelius says that there was not enough commitment to alternative renewable sources…like what I have no idea. This one proposed plant will produce as much electric power as all of the wind power in Texas, the countries largest producer of wind power.
I realize that most people do not understand electricity. There is one basic principal that everyone should realize about power companies. They produce a product exactly at the time it is demanded. There is virtually no power storage. Electric companies can not product electricity and put it in a big battery somewhere.
This has several implications. As a system, there must be enough capacity ready to go online in a very short period of time to keep up with demand. If the generators cannot keep up with demand, the generators will start to slow down. The consequence of this would be devastating — think massive black out.
The capacity has to be dependable. Solar is a joke. Hydro only works in areas with rivers and mountains. A place like Kansas has very few alternatives. Wind is not dependable. A couple of weeks ago, the wind stopped in Texas and caused a limited black out. Grid operators realize this and demand a backup source for suppliers that use wind. This backup could be as high as 75% of the total wind power capacity. In other words, you have to build all those wind mill PLUS build a power plant as a reliable source. What a waste of money.
A typical line from conservatives is that ethanol is driving up the price of corn. This is probably a very difficult question to answer. It is not difficult to look up the price of corn and the production of ethanol, but would be a quick review of a product and industry that I do not know very much about…but what the hell…that’s what bloggers do.
I reviewed the prices of wheat and corn futures. Prices for both of these commodities has spiked since the middle of 2006. Although the dollar has weakened, it didn’t take a sharp downturn in 2006. It has been a gradual decline since about Feb 2002.

My uneducated guess at this point is that corn prices are rising because of global demand for food. As our dollar decreases in value, the demand for American grown food will increase. This is good for American farmers….not so good for American eaters.

New York’s newest governor has admitted to using cocaine…and the AP reports, but buries his party affiliation again. You must deduce that he is a democrat from the second to last paragraph
In Monday’s interview, Paterson pointed out that he had acknowledged to a television journalist after a 2006 gubernatorial Democratic primary debate that he had used illegal drugs.
In a separate story, the mayor of Detroit is arraigned of felony charges. You must deduce his party by a statement 3/4 of the way down about his mother, which they fail to mention is the leader of the Congressional Black Caucus.
His mother is Democratic U.S. Rep. Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick.Â
Is there any doubt that if Paterson or Kilpatrick were a Republican, they would have an (R) next to his name in the first paragraph?

CBS runs a report about Hillary lying about her trip to Bosnia and here is the part that bothers me (translated from a YouTube Clip)
That’s not what happened, and we should know. CBS news accompanied the First Lady…on that Bosnia trip.
Hillary lied about this trip months ago. Why did it take CBS so long to report about the fraud? Could it be that the geniuses at CBS have finally figured out that a long primary battle between the Democratic contenders is bad for the party? You would think that this battle would be good for rating. Are they ignoring their self interest for a political reason?
This is the network that used forged documents and claimed the story was fake but true. It just makes you wonder what is going on behind the scenes at CBS.

What could possibly be going through a peace activist’s mind that would lead them to resort to violence? That is exactly what happened this weekend when a man at a peace rally in West Chester, PA hit a woman…not once, but twice. This can not be explained away as partisanship gone wild. The woman who was struck describes herself as a conservative Democrat.
Snarky retorts, name calling and mis characterizations by the CCPM are common place events in my 7 month documentary of this rally. Yesterday crossed the line, when I was struck twice by a peace protester. I can deal with all the above, but will NOT tolerate any form of violence against my person. I am consulting legal advice on this matter. more
I would guess that 1) the attacker has an overly inflated ego of himself and 2) was humiliated by something the woman said for which he had no answer.
I know neither the attacker nor the attacked, but I recall nursing a black eye the day after Christmas when I deflated my older brothers gigantic ego. I was 30 years old at the time…so this was not a teenage squabble.
I have found most liberals to be very egotistical. Their philosophy is always telling us that they know what is best for us. They want government to force us into a horrible retirement plan(social security) because we are not smart enough to take care of ourselves. Hillary and Barack want to force us into health insurance because some young people opt out of it. We can’t eat food cooked in saturated fat because liberals have read the studies and have determined the best diet for us. You cannot send your kids to school with a snack because of the so-called obesity epidemic…even if your kid is skinny. The examples go on and on.
Such an ego reacts very badley when bruised…trust me. I have New Years Eve picture to prove it.
