Liberals are not dumb. They know that the American people will reject socialized medicine. So first they must tug at your heart strings.

Here is how the “creep” works. Can’t we agree that poor children need government help. Even some of the most evil conservatives love children. So an agreement is worked out to start a program that helps poor children. Soon, these programs are expanded by redefining what poor is. Where “the poor” used to be considered the govenrment poverty level, now it is 300% of the poverty level. Next, they redefine what a child is. Where programs used to cover only children, now a child can be a 24 year old slacker still living in his suburban home. Right now, half of Hillary Clinton’s campaign staff is considered poor children by these standards.

This of course puts a strain on the health insurance industry. You see health insurance requires big pools of people to disperse risk. If you take out the least likely to get sick from that pool, then the per person cost to cover the rest of the pool goes up dramatically.

Soon, the rising cost of health insurance leads to the wrong conclusion that the government is the only solution.

WRONG.

Government caused the problem in the first place. Soon you have beauracrats determining how much money we spend as society on trivial elective procedures like knee surgery or hip replacements. Of course, they are trivial to the guy making the budget…not to the patient living in pain.
